Super Mom? Check the List…

Saturday, May 21st, 2005

A mother always has a full plate. Super mom is a category that I find myself in often. My tasks include being mom, housewife, homeschool teacher, and small home business owner. I am often asked about how I do it all. There is no complete balance really. There is no schedule that I go by. Housework suffers many times. I am thankful to have a wonderful husband who understands and helps around the house. My children are also helpful about the chore requirements when they want to be. I feel truly blessed.

I realize that what I do isn’t for everyone. If you have some of the following attributes, you may be able to… (more…)

The Apprentice

Sunday, May 15th, 2005

I watch the television show “The Apprentice“. The last show really left people hanging. There are two woman left. One named Tana and the other is Kendra.

I have seen some good and bad things both have done in their previous tasks. I was rooting for Tana.  She’s a mom just like me. However, during the last task I didn’t like the way she treated her fellow employees by talking behind their backs to other staff members that she hardly knew. I also didn’t like how she didn’t check the flyers which she stated were one of the most important things for the event. The mayor was disappointed that the American Flag wasn’t available for him to use. That is super important when all of the other country flags are present. BTW, need a new American Flag? Click here to get one free!

It looks like Kendra pulled off her event wonderfully in the end. She was even offered a job from someone involved in the event. I still have the last task in mind when Tana and Kendra worked together to get the car brochure created. Kendra created an incredible piece of work. The others went to bed early even knowing that this task was important. Kendra created the brochure by herself.

It’s Book Smarts against Street Smarts. The theme is what got my attention to watch this season. I was not really interested in the show before. I have two years of college myself and have learned all I know to succeed on the internet through “Street Smarts”. So, I would root for the “Street Smarts” team, however, I have mixed feelings of who should get the job out of these two finalists. What are your thoughts?…

Fresh, New Look for Mom Shack

Monday, May 2nd, 2005

I always have bright ideas to try and make things better on my websites. When you own 10 + websites, it can be quite an undertaking to change the look and move content.

Over the last few days I have been working on a fresh, new look for Mom Shack. New mom members are joining the new system already. I have more to do like add the content into the new look, add new features to the new system for moms to enjoy, and notify all the mom newsletter subscribers. I hope everyone enjoys the new look and the new system!
