Oil dependent world
I am curious… how are you coping with the rising gas prices? Are you cutting back on your traveling? Are you working more or taking on side jobs to pay for gas to get places? Do you think this whole gas price fluctuation is a conspiracy? How the heck are you handling it?
Right now, we just aren’t going anywhere that isn’t necessary. We can’t afford any reconstructive alternative types of energy or fuel devices for home, cars, etc. I am sure most people can’t. Seems many famous rich people can.

bush and cheney are making a ton of money on high oil prices while our troops are being used as cannon fodder. no one fought our civil war for us…so let the sunnies and and their adversary’s which are mainly shietes, have at it. bush should have been impeached for trying to give dubaie, control of our ports. carter gave away the panama canal, so that china could control it. if if kerrys wife could have kept her stupid mouth shut…he would have been elected. the housewives voted for bush, saying–”oh, we don’t want to change horses in mid-stream. bush is nothing but a dried out alcoholic from his college day’s! I say—-throw the incompetent rascal out!

Well, we’re cutting back on our trips and combining trips! Taylor & I have cut down on our library trips. Our home school activities have worked out ok as a lot of the mom’s are carpooling for trips etc. We have two sons in the military, Brian is a Submariner and is stationed in Georgia. Travis who graduated last year is a Soldier in the Army National Guard. We’ve been saving to go to Georgia to visit Brian & his wife for a mini vacation this year. Travis will be deploying soon, so we’re trying to enjoy our time with him! So, I guess all in all gas prices have changed a lot of our habits as far as jumping in the car 2 or 3 times a day. Politically, I have my own ideas, but with “cannon fodder” (not my words, but have heard them a lot lately & I do wish folks would think before they just throw words around!) I will keep the Political views to myself,
